Our Team

Beldon Education Support Centre consists of a dynamic and multidisciplinary team working together to provide an outstanding education for your child. The team are led by our Principal, Jessica Bates, and Deputy Principal, Emma Reed, and are highly dedicated to the work they do educating children with special needs and supporting their families. Teachers are matched to classes according to student needs, qualifications, expertise and interests and our staff turnover is low. We have a a large number of skilled and experienced Education assistants that are utilised to provide a high support ratio in each of our classrooms. Our Education Assistants contribute instructional and assessment expertise in classrooms through productive partnerships with teachers. All educators are specially trained in the education of students with disabilities and are committed to onoging professional development to stay up to date with the latest research and evidence based practices.

Collectively we bring a wealth of experience in the field of SEN curriculum, positive behaviour support, communication and AAC and providing specialist intervention the early years.

We also draw on a range of expertise from external service providers such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, physioherapists, psychology services and positive behaviour support. We welcome your service providers to become part of our team working and liaising with our staff to support your child to reach their full potential. We share a school psychologist and a school chaplain with Beldon Primary School and they are available one day per week to work with all students and families when required.
